Lloyd A Kirley

Lloyd A Kirley

Always a maker of things, I express this productive spirit though my sculpture. With the simple tools and medium of the torch, electric welder and steel I can efficiently produce pieces of any scale.
Unstructured work methods allow creative freedom. After a quick sketch I go directly to the steel. Decisions about scale, design and detail evolve as I work. The spontaneity of trial and error increases my enjoyment of the creative process.
I make art for selfish reasons, for the feeling it gives me. Your appreciation of my work is welcomed, but it is secondary to my satisfaction. There are few things in life that make me feel as good.  The pursuit of this feeling is my driving force.
