Louise Minks
I love what I do and do what I love." When I am not visiting with customers at Sawmill River Arts at the Montague Book Mill, I am working in my studio at the Leverett Crafts and Arts. Sometimes I am off to my favorite painting locations, in New England and New Mexico. Other times I'm lucky enough to bunk with friends so I can paint in Kenya or travel with a daughter in Guatemala, returning to work on a series about the rain forest .
I also teach classes locally and in the the Southwest, Vermont and New York State. In the winter, I'm likely to explore new painting ideas or old favorites like junk cars and trucks.
"Between the lines" of my life are writing times with my husband Ben, fun times with family, marketing my paintings on ceramic tiles and public presentations on many of my favorite art and historical themes.
